About
The Department of Veterinary Biochemistry has been recently established at COVAS, Kishanganj looking the needs of teaching, research and extension in the discipline of Veterinary Biochemistry up to UG Level. It plays an important role to carry out research on Biotechnology, bioinformatics ect related field of Animal and allied sciences. Presently, the department has well-qualified two Biotechnologist to impart high standards of education to undergraduate students under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Niraj Kumar Singh, Associate Professor of the Department.
Mandate
- To conduct undergraduate teaching, research and extension in the field of Veterinary Biochemistry.
- To investigate biochemical markers related to disease and its application for disease diagnosis.
- To contribute human resource development for offering training/workshop/symposia to field veterinarians/ faculty from other institutes.
