National Animal Disease Control Programme

A Workshop organized at KVK, Jamui

On the occasion of launching ceremony of “National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) for FMD & Brucellosis and National Artificial Insemination Programme (NAIP)” by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 11th September 2019, a workshop on “Animal productivity through Disease Management as FMD & Brucellosis & Artificial Insemination” was organized at BASU-KVK, Jamui. Dr. S.K. Singh, SS & Head KVK, Jamui welcomed all the participants. The programme started with the ICAR Anthem followed by lighting of lamp by Dr. A.K. Thakur, Director Extension Education, BASU, Patna who was chief guest on this occasion. The programme of launching ceremony of NADCP & NAIP by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India was live telecasted at the KVK Jamui. A presentation was made by Dr. Chandrashekhar Azad, Assistant Professor, BVC, Patna on Artificial Insemination. Dr. Vidyanand Singh, DAHO, Jamui delivered a lecture on control of FMD & Brucellsis. Dr. S.K. Singh, Head explained about the PM- Kisan Samman Nidhi and informed the participants that the registration of farmers under this programme is also going on. Farmers can get themselves registered to get the benefit of Rs 6000/ -year under this Scheme. Dr. A.K. Thakur, Director Extension Education (DEE) added that BASU is providing all needed support & technological backstopping to KVK, Jamui. Dairy, Goatary, Poultry villages were adopted by different colleges of BASU within the jurisdiction of KVK, Jamui. The DEE, BASU, Patna also announced to establish modern Artificial Insemination Centre very shortly at KVK, Jamui for the benefit of the livestock farmers. To promote plantation in the district, KVK provided Plant saplings to all participants in collaboration with IFFCO. The programme was wrapped up with vote of thanks offered by Dr. P.K. Singh, SMS Agronomy. The programme ended with National Anthem.
